Production Manager

Cococare Products has been manufacturing healthy and beauty aid products for over 50 years. We are seeking an experienced production / warehouse manager with cosmetics / health and beauty aids experience to oversee all aspects of production, shipping and receiving.

The Manager of Production and Fulfillment will develop and execute the company’s production planning, inventory management, and fulfillment and warehouse functions.

This includes leading the MRP and production planning process, scheduling production runs considering raw material, component, and factory resource requirements, as well as proper inventory management.

In addition, this position would supervise the warehousing and fulfillment function for the company in accordance with agreed-upon operational and customer services KPI’s.

Timely and accurate management reporting would be generated and reviewed with senior management. This position would interface with finance, sales, and marketing.

Responsibilities

• Manage and evaluate entire production process. Drive continuous improvement of supply chain processes and performance.
• Lead production scheduling, raw materials inventory planning, managing all work-in-progress and forecasting inventory levels for finished goods
• Supervise and direct personnel in performing production activities. Responsible for shift operations and schedules.
• Monitor and manage production machinery, equipment and facilities ensuring that all are properly maintained and sanitized for efficient and 100% up-time production.
• Develop and lead the analysis of the short- & long-term production plan, supply chain inventory, plan, production / sales / inventory, safety stock adjustments, batch size optimization, lead time improvements.
• Lead and monitor quality assessments and processes to ensure overall production quality control.
• Develop inventory strategy and drive execution to optimize inventory levels aligned with annual operating plan, demand plan, budget, and financial targets.
• Implementation of key operational metrics to drive performance of the supply chain, especially inventory and forecasting.
• Manage the hiring and cross-training of production staff.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to optimize planning, inventory management, and exits of inventory.
• Oversee shipping department, monitor on time shipments and accurate order fulfillment.
• Maintain a safe production environment.
• Ability to work with forecasts and production plan to ensure safety stock levels are maintained
• Team building and cross training of staff
• Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in business management, supply chain or related field, professional certifications preferred.
• 5+ years’ supply chain and production line management experience in a manufacturing environment, within the health and beauty aids / cosmetics / food markets, servicing diverse market channels.
• Strong organizational skills and team leadership skills. Experienced leader in scheduling, managing and implementing daily production schedules.
• Master production scheduling experience in a high volume, automated manufacturing environment.
• Inventory modeling and implementation experience in high SKU environment.
• Excellent communication skills, especially in an environment of cross functional, team oriented, and consensus driven work and solutions at all levels of the organization.
• Fully competent in utilization of ERP system functionality.
• Financial and budget management experience. Manage and prepare production records.
• Strong leadership, collaboration, and people management skills.
• Process-oriented and results-driven and focused on continuous improvements.
• Bi-lingual (English / Spanish) is a plus.
