Physical Therapist 2-Per Diem

The Physical Therapist 2 (PT 2) works as a journey-level therapist, and is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating physical therapy treatments as assigned by the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

The PT 2 has experienced a variety of clinical settings. Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

• Provide Physical Therapy services to complex, complicated patients of all ages in a variety of clinical settings (including Acute Care, ICUs, and Inpatient Rehabilitation) as assigned through the Department of Physical
• Supervises therapy services provided by Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs)
• Successfully demonstrate experience related to the ability to function with little direction
• Plan, evaluate, and implement physical therapy programs for patients with complex problems
• Demonstrate independent judgment related to documentation, billing, and patient-related treatment issues
• Expected to act as a resource and provide clinical direction to entry level Physical Therapists
• Assist in orientation of staff and are expected to participate in training

• California Licensed Physical Therapist (PHYSTHER) - Must possess and maintain a current California Physical Therapy License
• Must possess and maintain CPR certification (American Heart Association or on-site through UC Davis Health System)
• Must possess a minimum of a Baccalaureate degree in Physical Therapy
• Demonstrated recent multiple years of clinical experience in the field of Physical Therapy
• Thorough knowledge of physical therapy as identified by Physical Therapy Practice Act and licensure by State of California
• Skill in the delivery of physical therapy, evidenced by multiple years past work experience as a physical therapist.
• Skills to provide physical therapy assessments and interventions in Acute Care, ICUs and Inpatient Rehabilitation
