We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounts payable, preferably within the construction industry.

OVERVIEW OF THE AP SPECIALIST ROLE :
- Process and manage vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
- AP Specialist will perform three-way matching of purchase orders, receiving reports, and vendor invoices.
- Verify and reconcile discrepancies between invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents.
- Prepare and process weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
- AP Specialist will maintain vendor files and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Assist with month-end closing tasks, including accruals and account reconciliations.
- Respond to vendor inquiries and resolve payment issues promptly.
- AP Specialist will collaborate with the procurement and project management teams to ensure timely and accurate payment of invoices.
- Monitor and manage accounts payable aging reports.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR AP SPECIALIST ROLE :
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field- preferred.
- Relevant internship experience in accounts payable or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Sage 300) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
