About The Position
Job Title : Operating Room Technician Job Specialty : Neuro OR Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8-hour shifts with call Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : 2 years of experience in Level 1 Trauma OR License : CSTVA Registration Certifications : BLS (AHA) Must-Have : Strong neuro / ortho spine and craniotomy experience Job Description : Work in the Main OR, which includes 25 rooms and handles 45-60 cases per day- Collaborate with the neuro team to perform procedures ranging from simple 1-level to complex 10+ levels, spine tumors, neuro trauma, and DBS- Ensure proficiency with Epic EMR system (though direct Epic access is not required)- Participate in a call rotation including : - Weekday call : Two 8-hour shifts per schedule (23 : 30-07 : 00) - Weekend call : Three 12-hour shifts per schedule (07 : 00-19 : 30 or 19 : 00-07 : 30)- Float to other service lines within the Main OR as needed- Meet the shift expectations with flexibility in work hours (i.
e., 6a-6p)- Adapt to weekend work expectations with two 12-hour shifts per schedule- Respond to emergency calls within a 45-minute time frame- Follow holiday work requirements as needed- Scrubs provided for convenience
