Overview :
As a Clinical Patient Service Representative, you will be a vital member of our healthcare team. You will work in a supportive and collaborative environment that values teamwork and contributes to IHC’s mission.
Essential Functions :
- Enhance the patient experience from the initial phone call to the completion of their visit, including coordinating referrals to specialists
- Assist in training new staff members for the Patient Service Center
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, route calls, and address patient needs
- Manage referrals, complete prior authorizations, schedule diagnostic imaging tests, and handle other patient care-related paperwork
- Collaborate with the management team to schedule appointments according to Patient Scheduling guidelines and IHC needs.
- Process patient paperwork promptly
- Educate patients about the necessary documents for their appointments
- Accurately maintain and retrieve data using IHC’s Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system
- Communicate diagnostic and clinical information to patients
- Coordinate with the patient care team as necessary
- Assist with reminder calls, follow-ups, and pre-chart preparation to enhance IHC’s efficiency and productivity
Desirable Knowledge and Skillset :
- Triage experience in a clinic setting
- Pre-authorization experience
- Adhere to standard work practices and procedures
- Demonstrate high attention to detail and accuracy
- Perform responsibilities efficiently and timely
- Exhibit knowledge of standard office practices and procedures
- Manage multiple requests and meet deadlines
- Participate in process improvement projects and high-performing work teams
- Proficient in office equipment and computer skills, including data entry, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, eCW, Dialpad, etc.
Compensation & Benefits Package :
- Hourly rates based on RN or LPN level of education & experience

Requirements :
- Education : Graduation from an accredited MA, RN, or LPN program
- Licensure : RN / LPN : Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the state of Indiana
- Medical Assistant : Proof of a Diploma / Degree or Certificate
- Certification : Proof of current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (AED included)
- Experience with electronic health records is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred but not required
- Interacts with colleagues and patients in a professional manner
