Duties Description Under the direction of an Information Technology Specialist 3, SG-23, within the Chief Technology Office, Business Applications Services, Environment, Energy, and Transportation Portfolio, the position will provide expert guidance and determine the accessibility compliance of web applications and electronic documents throughout the project, enhancement, or incident lifecycles.
Specific duties include, but are not limited to :
- Work independently or with other accessibility auditors to assess web pages and electronic documents for conformance to established web accessibility standards.
- Create comprehensive accessibility documentation and reports explaining accessibility defects identified through an audit and suggest remediation methods or techniques for developers.
- Develop code samples and fixes of accessibility issues using various distributed technologies and software : DHTML / HTML / XHTML, Java, JavaScript, SQL / SQL *Plus, XML / XSL, .
NET, MS SQL Server, SQL Server Query Analyzer, Dreamweaver
- Prepare accessibility reports (., Voluntary Product Accessibility Template) for DMV agency use.
- Review results of accessibilities assessment with developers, project team members, and management. Answers questions regarding testing methods and interpretation of the results.
- Provide expert accessibility guidance and feedback to transactions and forms throughout design and development of them.
- Communicate status of production issues and analyzes interface enhancement requests or incidents for accessibility compliance.
- Use application lifecycle management (ALM) products for application accessibility compliance defect tracking.
