Special Education Teacher - Hollis, NH (2024-25 School Year)
ProCare Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team for the 2024-25 school year in Hollis, NH.
The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs and creating an inclusive, supportive classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with disabilities.
- Adapt general education lessons and teach various subjects to students with mild to moderate disabilities.
- Use a variety of teaching techniques and strategies to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Collaborate with other educators, parents, and professionals to create and maintain an effective learning environment.
- Monitor and assess students progress and provide regular updates to parents and school administrators.
- Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by law, district policies, and administrative regulations.
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and other relevant meetings.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Valid state teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with students with special needs, preferably in a school setting.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Preferred Skills :
- Experience with various teaching methods and educational technology.
- Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations regarding special education.
- Ability to manage a diverse classroom and handle challenging behaviors effectively.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.
