Pay Range : $1000-$1500 / week

Cordelia Fishbar, opening in November 2024, is hiring experienced Servers with a passion for exceptional food, outstanding guest service, and a genuine passion for hospitality.

We are seeking professionals with upscale casual and / or fine dining experience who can provide top-tier service and contribute to an unforgettable dining experience.

Located in the vibrant Union Market neighborhood of DC, Cordelia Fishbar is the newest concept from Clyde's Restaurant Group.

Our menu will feature live-fire charcoal cooking techniques and locally sourced, fresh seafood alongside a tightly curated selection of wines, spirits, and local beers on tap.

WALK-INS : We welcome walk-ins to our recruiting office at 1309 5th St, NE, Washington, DC 20002 on the third floor. On 5th St, immediately after Union Market, up the white stairs.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A SERVER

• At least two years of experience in a similar role
• Extensive knowledge of wine, spirits, and beer, wine certifications are a plus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Friendly, hardworking, and hospitality-driven with a commitment to excellence and top-tier service
• Problem solvers who can handle customer matters with courtesy, dignity, and respect
• Able to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Flexible availability to work mornings, late nights, weekends, holidays, and weekdays as needed

WHAT YOU WILL DO AS A SERVER

• Greet new parties and cordially welcome guests to the restaurant
• Guide guests through the menu and make thoughtful suggestions
• Relay orders to the bar and kitchen using the point-of-sale (POS) system
• Anticipate guests' needs and respond appropriately
• Establish a friendly, professional rapport with guests
• Bus tables when the meal is completed and prepare the table for the next course
• Total and present the bill, accept payment, cash out the check, and make change
• Problem-solve guest needs with courtesy, dignity, and respect
• Extend closing greetings to guests as they leave, thanking them for their patronage
