Summary
Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of physician & supervisor. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments & maintaining medical records.
Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician.
Job Requirements
- Education Required : Graduate of accredited practical nursing program OR graduated from a formal MA training program that included pharmacology class, anatomy / physiology, the basics of medication administration, and completion of a clinical externship
- Experience No Prior Experience Required
- Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams Self starter
- Licensure / Certification / Registration Required : License Practical Nurse active in the state of Missouri OR Certification / Registration from a CoxHealth approved certification program : CMA / AAMA, RMA / AMT, CCMA / NHA, NRCMA / NAHP, NCMA / NCCT, RMA / AAMP.
Required : Obtain BLS within first 90 days of hire
