Job Description
The Director of Compliance has oversight of eligibility (NCAA Bylaw 14) and is responsible for ensuring a wide-range of tasks are compliant with NCAA rules and regulations, including but not limited to, evaluating initial eligibility for prospective student-athletes (amateurism), monitoring continuing eligibility of current student-athletes for all sports (about 600 individuals).
- Overseeing the National Letter of Intent process as well as the transfer process.
- Responsible for the initial and continuing eligibility of all student-athletes including but not limited to, administering National Letter of Intent and Financial Aid Agreements, conducting background checks, and academic evaluation.
- Assists with and provides input on the legislative process.
- Assists with major investigations and reporting.
- Works with the Registrar's Office to ensure accurate and timely submission of Academic Progress Program (APP), Academic Progress Rate (APR), and Graduation Success Rate (GSR).
- Constructs appropriate arguments and drafts waiver and interpretation requests.
- Assists in the compilation of the annual Sports Sponsorship report.
- Assists in managing the rules education program, for student-athletes, coaches, university and athletic administration and staff.
- Conducts regular spot checks associated with sport teams and related events, including practice and competition and team travel.
- Provides leadership and direction for maintaining records on all conference squad list forms and certificate of participation forms for all sports.
- Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
Job Requirements
Required Education : Master's degree, AND :
12 months of NCAA compliance or related experience.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to respect confidentiality and practice discretion
- Excellent communication (oral and written) skills
- Must be able to read and interpret policy
- Ability to effectively engage and present to a wide variety of constituents, both internally and externally
