Position : Agency Relations Manager
Reports to : Director of Client Services
FLSA Status : Non-exempt, hourly
Purpose :
The purpose of this position is to recruit, develop, and support the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank's food assistance network of agency partners and the greater community to provide equitable access to quality food throughout the service area.
The Agency Relations Manager must maintain all necessary documents, records and reports related to the agency partners for NWAFB as well as Feeding America.
This position manages agency partner trainings and develops network capacity; acting as a resource for agency partners and neighbors.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Build positive relationships with agency partners, program participants, Food Bank staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners
- Acquire and maintain full understanding of the service area for which you are responsible. This includes, but is not limited to :
- Visit agency partners on a regular basis; get to know each pantry, pantry coordinator and the volunteers
- Assist in gathering and maintaining demographic data as well as geographic data within the service area by providing continued support to agency partners throughout the lifetime of Service Insights' use
- Attend outside networking meetings to develop and encourage resource building and sharing in service area communities
- Inform food assistance network of available resources
- Participate in cross-departmental meetings, develop good working relationships with associates in similar roles at other Food Banks in the Feeding America network, and be knowledgeable of information provided on HungerNet concerning Agency Relations and Service Insights
- Design and implement network training and development opportunities that increase capacity and improve effectiveness of agency partners to serve their neighbors.
This includes Food Bank University, Annual Agency Meeting, Agency Benchmarking, Agency Capacity Grants, and Service Insights.
- Ensure network standards are met to promote a quality client experience. This includes obtaining ServSafe certification and ensuring partner agencies are properly trained in food safety, Civil Rights training, monthly report compliance, bi-yearly inspections, and other required documentation
- Manage information / reporting for grants related to agency relations and / or service insights as needed
- Provide support as needed to the other Client Services' programs collecting data
- Assist with Service Insights (data collection) at Mobile Pantry sites as needed in 4 county area
- Collect information about the neighbors NWAFB serves through our own programs as well as agency partners to better design and target programs and services by utilizing standardized surveys and research processes;
work within Feeding America guidelines to initiate and conduct each survey
Skills, Education and Experience :
- Commitment to understanding and supporting the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank's mission including but not limited to showing compassion to the food insecure
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and education
- Three to Five years' experience in social service field or nonprofit setting preferred
- Bilingual a plus
- Strong organizational and planning skills
- Detail oriented with strong follow through skills
- Must be able to manage multiple projects at one time
- Highly relationship focused and people oriented.
- Ability to evaluate data and compile into presentation format.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work well with people of diverse backgrounds and experiences
- Experience in group facilitation
- Ability to motivate and encourage partner agency volunteers to uphold the Service Insights initiative
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must have valid driver's license, proof of liability insurance and reliable transportation
Job Specifications :
The physical demands of this positon include sitting, frequent telephone and computer use as well as sometimes standing for 2 hours or more at a time while working outside in hot and cool temperatures.
