Position Summary :
Performs telemetry monitoring and nurse assistant functions under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. 12 hour shifts.
Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors. Identifies significant arrhythmias and / or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately.
Identifies and corrects for artifacts. Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
Tests equipment for proper working order. Reports equipment problems to supervisor. Performs basic patient care activities as delegated and supervised by an RN, including monitoring vital signs, possible taking blood glucose measurements, and recording intake and output.
Assists patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living, including but not limited to bathing, grooming, eating, and ambulation.
Reports abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Assists with keeping patient rooms and common areas stocked, clean and orderly.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications :
- Excellent Customer Service Skills
- Nurse Assistant certification within 6 months
- Current BLS certification within 6 months
