Role : Purchasing Manager

Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain and logistics strategy, ensuring efficient and productive processes.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing inventory, and overseeing logistics for deliveries.

The role requires critical and analytical thinking to guide strategic decision-making for the organization's supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team using best practices for procurement, inventory, and logistics.
  • Implement and maintain a procurement system based on centralized inventory principles.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate volume discounts, and distribute products.
  • Plan, manage, and coordinate all activities related to sourcing and procurement of supplies and services.
  • Collaborate with department managers to implement an automated procurement system.
  • Manage and reduce supply costs through vendor contract management.
  • Establish and manage compliant vendor relationships.
  • Oversee incoming and outgoing supplies, including freight contracts.
  • Partner with the Compliance Director to ensure supplies meet regulations.
  • Report and maintain budget transparency to the CFO.
  • Meet physical and mental demands of the position.
  • Work on-site with predictable, reliable attendance

Qualifications

  • Proficient in automated procurement systems and Excel.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Experience with group purchasing organizations (GPOs), negotiating contracts, and managing budgets.
  • 5+ years of procurement experience, preferably in a healthcare organization.
