Grow your career as a successful Senior Accountant within ALG Vacations. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering accurate results for the Funjet brand in accordance with all established timelines.

A successful Senior Accountant will :

  • Complete monthly journal entries for the assigned brand necessary to ensure an accurate and timely financial statement close process which is in alignment with the company close schedule
  • Submit timely and accurate account reconciliations, ensuring alignment with US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley controls
  • Analyze month-end results against prior year, budget and / or forecast and provide explanations for major variances
  • Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
  • Provide input to the Financial Planning and Analysis team to support the forecasting and budgeting processes, as required
  • Perform other duties or special projects as required or as assigned by a manager

A successful Senior Accountant will have :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required (Master’s, along with a CPA license, preferred)
  • Minimum 3-5 years of accounting experience
  • CPA license, preferred
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate in writing and verbally, as well as strong organizational skills
  • Detailed-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a diverse, inclusive team environment
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, with strict adherence to deadlines
  • Committed to, and accountable for, delivering results
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing business requirements
  • Ability and willingness to work and learn in a fast-paced corporate environment for a publicly-traded company
  • Ability to take initiative and proactively offer quality ideas for process improvements
  • Proficiency in MS Office packages, including Word and Excel
  • Proficiency in SAP preferred
