This role provides the technical expertise needed to design and develop processes to support quartz crystal resonator fabrication In this position the Engineer will be responsible for Designing the following :
- manufacturing equipment to improve and update crystal manufacturing processes
- crystal resonators using various software programs (In house, COMSOL, etc)
Other responsibilities include :
- Maintaining various manufacturing process to include the following (but not be limited to) : lapping and polishing, chemical etching, thin film evaporation, cleaning and sealing
- Maintain and improve processes through engineering tools and statistical concepts
- Maintains accurate documentation and procedures
- Identifies and initiates the purchase of equipment, supplies, and manufacturing tools
- Collaborates with and leads product and process improvement teams
- Works closely with cross-functional engineering groups in the performing of concurrent engineering
