PT Lecturer Position in Political Science

Position Description :

The Department of Political Science and Public Administration has an immediate opening for a part-time lecturer to teach Ancient and Medieval Political Thought (PSCI 3000) and an online section of American Government (PSCI 1201) in Fall 2017.

More generally, the department anticipates an on-going need for part-time instructors to teach varied courses in Political Science.

These are likely to include lower division courses-Introduction to American Government (PSCI 1201), Introduction to Political Science (PSCI 2000), and Global Politics (PSCI 2030)-and upper division courses in the field of political theory.

Applicants interested in being considered for one or more of these course assignments should address their qualifications in the application letter.

Minimum Qualifications :

MA in Political Science, or Master of Public Administration with a BA in Political Science

Preferred Qualifications :

ABD or PhD in Political Science with the appropriate specialization in American politics and / or political theory depending on the specific course to be taught.

Successful and effective college-level teaching experience. Strong academic accomplishment in a Political Science or Public Administration graduate program.

Criminal Background Clearance Notice :
