SUMMARY
Welltower, a $70B S&P 500 company with both residential and medical office portfolios is looking for an energetic leader with mechanical and analytical aptitude to lead the newly formed facilities team responsible for property systems and related energy savings.
This new role, reporting to the Vice President of Facilities, will work closely with the ESG team identifying and implementing various initiatives intended to lower energy and water consumption.
Additionally, this department will have oversight of property systems including elevators, HVAC, fire suppression, call boxes, generators, etc.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Evaluating property systems and ensuring property preventative maintenance is in place.
- Creating new specifications for energy efficient property systems.
- Participating in the creation of a resource management plan intended to reduce resource consumption.
- Identify resource saving initiatives and formulate proposals accordingly.
- Provide direction to site team, when needed, to address emergency situations.
- Ensure that Welltower’s assets are properly maintained according to Welltower’s standards and all applicable life safety standards and local regulations.
- Assist with the creation of a 10-year capital plans for all assets.
- Ensure Welltower’s standards are met regarding all capital work completed at the sites.
- Assist with strategic capital spend initiatives and assist with the preparation of recommendations for management approval.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.

Welltower owns assets across the , this role will require travel accordingly to ensure success.
COMPENSATION
Salaries may vary by location. The range for this role in this market is $105,000 - $125,000 plus bonus and car allowance.
Salary determinations are made based on numerous factors, such as, but not limited to, the relevant market and the skill, experience, and education of the selected candidate.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, engineering degree a plus
- 6+ years of proven working experience in construction, maintenance, facilities management, or related fields. Experience with PV panel installation, energy saving projects, water saving projects, a plus
- Ability to analyze and calculate financial returns of proposed initiatives
- Ability to plan and see the big picture
- Strong communication skills
- Strong organizational skills - excel and other software tracking
- Self-starter and ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders and external constituents
