Role Summary

The Associate Director, Public Affairs will serve as a critical Policy & Advocacy team member with responsibility for relations and collaboration with City and State legislators and regulators who make legislative, regulatory policy, and public policy decisions.

In partnership with Corporate Communications and Global Public Affairs, you will leverage our corporate brand and voice to enhance our reputation nationally, advance our policy goals and set the tone for data-based corporate reputation plans.

This position will report to the Head of Corporate Affairs and collaborate with Market Access and Corporate Strategy.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Associate Director, Public Affairs will serve as a critical Policy & Advocacy team member with responsibility for relations and collaboration with City and State legislators and regulators who make legislative, regulatory policy, and public policy decisions
  • In partnership with Corporate Communications and Corporate Affairs, leverage our corporate brand and voice to enhance our reputation nationally, advance our policy goals and set the tone for data-based corporate reputation plans
  • Provide guidance and recommendations in programmatic approach to patient advocacy and communications, with a focus on strategic partnerships and coalitions
  • Drive and maintain external stakeholder mapping that informs corporate reputation and executive communications strategy
  • Developing engagement plans to achieve differentiation for Servier among public affairs audiences and influencers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to develop and maintain therapeutic area narratives that serve as a framework to organize storytelling and messaging
  • Develop tactics that strategically assert Servier’s point of view and demonstrate Servier’s leadership in Pharmaceuticals in the U.S.
  • Manage the development of materials, campaigns, social media content, events,
  • Build and execute programs and campaigns supporting our highest impact employee engagement, culture, and business priorities making tactical decisions that will
  • Serve as approved media specialist related to healthcare policy and various issues on behalf of Servier

Education and Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 7+ years public / government affairs, U.S. health policy experience, or relevant pharmaceutical industry experience.
  • Experience managing complex multiple projects with competing priorities.
  • Excellent skills in organizing, promoting, coordinating, written and oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a confidential environment.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously to drive decisions, develop solutions, and deliver high quality work product
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a wide range of stakeholders both internal and external

Travel and Location

  • Estimate the amount of travel 10%
  • Position is based in Boston, MA
