What you'll do :
The NextGen System Administrator is responsible for the routine maintenance of the BakerHill NextGen platform as well as data analysis for the Business Banking group, with emphasis on the Business and Consumer Loan Center (BCLC) and the Portfolio Risk Management (PRM) program.
What we are looking for :
- This role will position itself as the first line of support for all NextGen end-users.
- Maintain and update all configuration located within the Administration page of NextGen, including security parameters for Users, Roles, Business Units, Lookup Tables, Bank Defined Fields, etc.
- Document import files and the related mapping of the data from the source system to NextGen. Ensure that the imports run as scheduled from the various third-party systems.
- Responsible for the creation of custom reports through BusinessObjects Web Intelligence.
- Collaborates with various departments and stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements, processes, and workflows.
Translate requirements into functional specifications for technology and participates in requirements refinement sessions.
Involve credit administration, business line leaders and other management in process and procedure decision making.
Drives the vision and delivery of the business line service and products to be recognized as the market leader in overall service quality and functionality.
Be a significant contributor to the design of the organization’s technology, process flows and overall product offering, including interacting with technology / software vendors and internal technology partners.
- Assists in the development of a multi-year year strategic roadmap for products, markets, and ability to maximize the organization’s profit margins.
- Create, or assist with the creation, of new user curriculum in conjunction with the training department.
- Possess the ability to train others, whether others is defined as all end users or an internal training staff. Training expectations will include training of backup administrator(s), new users and remedial training for existing users on an as needed basis with the use of Baker Hill Education Services.
What you need to have :
Bachelor’s degree (BA) from a four (4) year college or university, and minimum of five (5) years or more related experience and / or training;
or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or similar program is preferred.
- Successful candidate will ideally have 1 to 3 years of experience SAP Business Objects Business Intelligence platforms.
Intermediate experience with BakerHill NextGen software is strongly preferred.
- Ability to gain an in-depth and strong understanding of Western Alliance Bank’s lending strategy as well as policies, procedures, and processes pertinent to both NextGen and the job functions of the NextGen users.
- Basic knowledge / understanding of structured query language (SQL) and data structure.
- Must be highly organized, self-starter, detailed oriented and a productive time manager.
- Possess excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to convey results in a summarily and persuasive manner all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work on a collaborative team or independently on deliverables leveraging methodologies, best practices, and collective knowledge of the business.
This role should understand when to escalate issues internally and to Baker Hill.
Basic to intermediate knowledge of loan products, including regulatory requirements, applications, underwriting, credit decisioning and portfolio management, is a plus.
Compensation : Salary range for new hires is generally $107,395.00 - $126,345.00 for San Diego, CA. Salary amount is determined by specific job location.
In addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus / incentives earned and restricted stock.
