Compensation Range : $39.00 to $45.00 an hour (Depending on Experience)
We are looking for Lead Consulting Utility Foresters, also known as Contract Vegetation Program Managers or Vegetation Program Leads to join our team!
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Lead vegetation management operations, project teams, emergency response, and outside contractor work performance.
- Contact property owners & public agencies regarding pruning and / or removals
- Conduct tree and brush inventories
- Conduct hazard tree inspections and evaluations
- Plan work for tree contractors
- Manage data
- Safeguard employees and public from hazards in and around the work area
- Enforce on-the-job safety practices
- Carry and utilize materials, tools, and equipment at work site
- Service trucks and equipment, keep trucks and other assigned equipment in a neat and orderly fashion
- Perform other related duties as required or assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
- Degree in forestry or related field and / or a minimum of two (2) years' experience in utility line clearance or species identification skills and invasive species knowledge, plus knowledge of tree growth rates
- The VPL shall have four (4) years of job-related experience with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role, as a team leader or project leader.
- The VPL shall have a minimum of Two (2) years of experience in emergency response and / or hazard tree removal projects along utility rights of way.
- The CVPM shall exhibit supervisory capabilities and be familiar with the Contractor's work practices
- Ability to obtain ISA Arborist Certification within 12 months upon job offer
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Strong verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to travel and work in rugged terrain and inclement weather
- Proficient in map navigation skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office and data collection software (GIS experience a plus)
