Position Description

Main Purpose :

Schedule, coordinate and supervise craft employee activities. May involve supervising one or more trade groups.

Specific Role Responsibilities :

• Plan and supervise Assistant Superintendent and / or craft activities; includes determining method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and documenting actual hours worked
• Coordinate assigned work with work of different crafts, company departments, or other contractors / site requirements
• Maintain liaison with estimating and planning teams to ensure work complies with specifications, and schedule
• Assist in resolving construction problems (lack of productivity, work interfaces, etc.) as required
• Assist Labor Relations and Talent Acquisition in maintaining communications with unions, resolving jurisdictional disputes, requisitioning required manpower, etc., as necessary
• Monitor craft compliance with project safety program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented
• Maintain liaison with other departments to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support craft activities and project schedule
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction
• Provide information to supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person

Travel :

Position Requirements

• Four year engineering degree or equivalent combinations of technical training and / or experience
• Advanced understanding of construction scheduling, cost control and ability to control and supervise large groups essential
• Minimum of eight years supervisory experience in similar construction technology, methods, equipment, tools and work procedures required
• Lift & move 45lbs or more
• Strong Mechanical Aptitude
• Willing to work in weather conditions that may be adverse (hot / cold / rain)
• Class A CDL a plus
• Demolition experience a plus
• Heavy equipment experience a plus
• Computer / Office Machines Microsoft Work, Excel, Outlook
• English proficient in business writing and verbal communication
• Valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record required when duties require use of motor vehicle
• Ability to pass pre-employment and random screening for illegal substances
