WHAT WERE LOOKING FOR :
BaubleBar is currently seeking a Product Development Manager- Licensing to join our team. You will be responsible for coordinating & maintaining the day-to-day development procedures for both current & new accessory items, under the direction of the Product Development Senior Manager.
The Product Development Manager works with the Product Development team to learn the entire product development process from initial design through prototype development & bulk production.
As our PD Manager you will have the opportunity to collaborate with merchandising, design, sourcing as well as production, & communicate with our factories on a daily basis.
WHAT WE WANT YOU TO DO :
- Be responsible for meeting design, function & quality goals of all accessory product
- Establish strong working relationships with cross-functional divisional teams to ensure product success
- Collect & monitor the development & production schedules, ensuring individual & team calendar deadlines are met
- Support the Product Development Sr. Manager in cost engineering & margin management
- Constantly evaluate & support evolution of the product development process through education of development team & process change
- Bring a high level of creativity, attention to detail & efficiency while working under tight deadlines & on multiple projects simultaneously
- Be enthusiastic about expanding your skill set & working on a broad range of projects
- Stay knowledgeable about industry standards & trends
- Be a point person for all licensed requirements for product & processes to help guide cross functional teams accordingly
- Work onsite in our Manhattan office 3-5 days per week
WHAT WE WANT TO SEE :
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising or related degree preferred
- 4+ years experience of accessories, apparel and / or jewelry product development experience required
- Thorough understanding of the design & development process from inception through production
- An expert in accessory & apparel construction / manufacturing, textiles, prints & factory best practices & capabilities
- Ability to take initiative, multi-task, proactively troubleshoot & problem solve in a fast-paced setting
- Someone who truly LOVES creating amazing products at the right price & whose passion is evident in their work
