DWD AdministrativeAssistant for the Office of theCommissioner
The essentialfunctions of this role are asfollows :
- Providesdirect administrative support to an executive administrator of anagency.
- Performs a variety ofadministrative duties that involve a high degree of discretion ininterpretation application and execution of agency and departmentpolicies andprograms.
- Works with a widerange of agency and state administrators legislators privatecompanies and the general public on routine and nonroutineproblems.
- Preparesadministrative rules and procedures for executive administratorand / or board orcommission.
- Reviews operatingpractices and procedures to determine whether improvements can bemade in areas such as workflow reporting procedures orexpenditures.
- Coordinates anddirects office services such as records departmental financesbudget preparation and personnel issues to aidexecutive.
- Manages and maintainexecutives schedules and travelarrangements.
- Some essentialfunctions of this position may be performed onsite at the agencysworksite or other assigned worksites while some essential functionsof this position may be eligible for work from home authorizationin accordance with policy.
- Remote workauthorization is not automatic and is dependent upon operationalneeds and agencyapproval.

The idealcandidate in this role should minimally have either
- a Mastersdegree with 3 years of experienceor
- a Bachelors degreewith 5 years of experienceor
- an Associates degreewith 7 experience or
- at least 8 years ofexperience applying the below with 2 years in an administrativeleadership managerial or supervisorcapacity.
- Relatedcertifications and coursework may be considered for education orexperience.
SupervisoryResponsibilities / DirectReports :
This rolemay be utilized in a supervisory capacity based on agencyneeds.

- You willbe involved with a variety of executive duties within a stateagency or facility involving a high degree of discretion ininterpretation application and execution of all agency ordepartment policies and programs.
- You will exerciseextensive judgment and creativity to adapt the agency goals andmission objectives and handle new or complex situations that mayimpact the organization.
- Your work involvesmultiple and complexvariables.
Responsibility :
- You willadvise the executive administrator on unprecedented matters ofmajor impact to ensure conformity with agency goals and policies.
- You will receivegeneral agency objectives and goals and be reviewed on overalleffective administration in the accomplishment of agency policy andmission.

- Thisindividual will be expected to partner with agency personnel andrelated stakeholders working towards completion of assignedfunctions.
