About the Role :
As Chief Operating Officer, you will collaborate closely with our visionary CEO to deliver unmatched leadership, strategic vision, and operational excellence.
Your role will be pivotal in steering the company towards becoming a large corporate entity with aspirations of a public listing.
Key Responsibilities :
- Leadership & Strategic Vision : Provide dynamic leadership across the entire organization, aligning with the long-term goal of establishing the firm as a major corporate entity and positioning it for a public offering.
- Operational & Financial Performance : Oversee the company’s financial health and operational efficiency, driving maximum shareholder value.
- Entrepreneurial Approach : Embrace our entrepreneurial spirit, think outside the box, and guide the team through growth challenges, helping staff achieve their professional goals.
- Strategic Planning : Evaluate, enhance, and execute the company's strategic plan, acting as a principal thought leader.
- Market Growth : Spearhead solutions rollout and customer acquisition to accelerate growth.
- P&L Accountability : Take full responsibility for the financial performance of the business.
- Strategy Development : Develop, communicate, and implement the company’s overall strategy and operating plan alongside the CEO.
- Financial Forecasting : Establish and maintain financial forecasts and metrics aligned with Board-approved objectives.
- Market Representation : Actively represent the company to prospective partners / customers, including telecommunications carriers, government entities, corporations, universities, and system integrators.
- Opportunity Evaluation : Assess and capitalize on business opportunities, leveraging the company’s core strengths for long-term revenue growth and profitability.
- Team Building : Evaluate and enhance the organizational structure to support strategic goals, ensuring a strong team is in place.
- CEO Transition : Prepare for a smooth transition to the CEO role over a specified period.
- Performance Accountability : Establish performance accountability systems and reward mechanisms to recognize achievements.
- Board Communication : Communicate risks and opportunities effectively to the Board, leading to actionable decisions and strategies across various domains, including infrastructure, investment, financial structure, and sales / marketing programs.
Qualifications Required :
- Industry Experience : 15+ years of leadership experience in Telecom Industry operations, sales leadership, and compliance roles.
- Proven Record : Demonstrated success in driving sales growth, expanding customer bases, and ensuring compliance.
- Leadership Skills : Exceptional leadership, management, and communication abilities.
- Analytical Acumen : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability : Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Educational Background : Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
