About this position :
Primary Job Responsibilities
Prepare work centers for runs :
- Prepare raw materials and regrind for molding presses and drying hoppers, following schedule and work order requirements
- Complete material movements and transactions in our operating system (IQMS)
- Ensure that all containers, dryers, loaders and hoses are cleaned both before and after the job to prevent contamination
- Set dryers to correct temperatures
Monitor production runs :
- Ensure that hoppers / loaders have material available to ensure continued production
- Move finished molded product to next station
- Keep track of material weights during production runs and at the completion of runs
- Finish pack finished goods as necessary
Maintain Materials :
- Keep materials organized per FIFO and 5S standards
- Maintain accuracy of material locations in our operating system (IQMS)
- Clean grinders, as needed
- Maintain regrind inventory
- Preserve scrap material so that it can be reground for use (and not end up in a landfill)
Other :
Provide breaks to press operators as needed

- Ensure that housekeeping in the department is properly maintained.

- Document job hours, ISO documentation, etc
- Follow policies outlined in the Employee Handbook
- Perform other duties as directed by the supervisor

Education and Job Skill Requirements
- Minimum Education requirement : High School Diploma or equivalent
- Good math computation skills (addition, subtraction, percentages, ratios)
- Friendly, professional manner
- Detail oriented and well-organized
- Commitment to accuracy and quality of work
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
- Ability to determine slight differences in color and other visual blemishes (molding defects)
- Certified Lift Truck Operator (training will be provided if necessary)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for an entire shift (8-10 hrs / day)
- No restrictions on twisting and bending (to move product and set molds)
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 55 lbs)
- Regular use of hands (100% of time)
- Ability to work in a shop environment frequent exposure to loud noises, dust, solvents, and oils
- Frequent reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling and crouching
- Vision 20 / 20 with or without correction
