Job Summary
Role Player for Scenarios with the SLCC Peace Office Certification Academy. Essential Responsibilities and Duties Assist with portrayal of real-life situations for law enforcement academy training purposes.

Maintain professional demeanor whenever in contact with students and instructors.
Becomes familiar with, and abides by, all college policies with immediate priority given to those policies that govern interactions with colleagues, staff, administrators, and departments throughout the organization.
Maintains professional etiquette in communications with students, staff, faculty, and administrators. Provides appropriate and timely feedback for all assignments.
Maintains student attendance records (for Financial Aid purposes) and grades. Conducts a variety of appropriate evaluations of student performance.
Informs students of progress-to-date periodically and assigns and submits grades by published deadlines. Assists in maintaining a safe and mutually respectful instructional environment.
Maintains professional and collegial behavior. Maintains professional appearance as defined by the discipline and / or College procedure.
Completes all required employee trainings. Knows and enforces FERPA guidelines. Provides ADA accommodations as requested.
Minimum Qualifications High School Education
Where needed, appropriate certification : Peace Officer, Corrections Officer, Firearms instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Radar instructor, SFST Instructor, BA / Intoxilyzer Instructor, & Post Certified Instructor.
Preferred Qualifications Prior Acting Experience Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
