Veterinary Technician - Overnights, Weekends

Doral Centre Animal Hospital is currently seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as an Emergency Veterinary Technician.

Our primary focus is on providing a comforting atmosphere for both our clients and their beloved pets, offering support in times of sickness and health.

This position presents a unique opportunity for professional growth, with possibilities to further elevate your technical skills and prospective future leadership opportunities.

The hours for this position are 8PM-8AM Friday-Sunday , offering flexibility during weekdays for personal appointments and relaxation.

Additionally, we are in the process of upgrading our hospital facilities and will soon be moving to a brand-new location, complete with state-of-the-art equipment.

Join us in providing exceptional care for our patients and their families at our new location! Department Veterinary Assistants Employment Type Full Time Location Doral, Florida Workplace type Onsite Compensation $20.00 - $25.00 / hour

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include :

• Intravenous catheter placement and venipuncture
• Administer drugs (IV, SQ, Oral)
• Assist with radiographic procedures
• Perform diagnostic blood, urine, and fecal testing
• Provide care to hospitalized patients
• Manage invoices of patients
• Client communication and education
• Admitting and discharging patients
• Tackling projects as assigned (with a smile, as always!)

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

• Must have at least 2 years of emergency veterinary medicine experience
• Must be a bright, friendly, and effective communicator in order to communicate with clients, visitors, veterinarians, and other hospital staff.

It’s okay if you talk to animals, too!)

• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods of time
• Must be able to lift 50 squirming pounds
• Must be able to work in a veterinary environment with exposure to infection or contagious diseases
