Bachus & Schanker, LLC has an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Litigation Paralegal to join its Litigation team in the Denver office.
This is an in-office position, Monday through Friday. The firm's founding goal was to level the playing field between the injured and large corporations, and the firm's core practice area is still Personal Injury law, and we are looking for a Paralegal to join our dynamic Litigation Team who shares our commitment to provide clients and team members with superior support.
Paralegals at Bachus & Schanker, LLC are fully involved in all aspects of their cases, from providing excellent client service to attending trial.

Responsibilities :
Transition case file from pre-lit to litigation
Order litigation medical records for client
Assist in drafting both short form and long form complaints
File and serve complaints
Upload documents to client files
Track all case management orders and pretrial orders
Calendar deadline for plaintiff fact sheet
Complete plaintiff fact sheets
Calendar attorney review of plaintiff fact sheets
Serve plaintiff fact sheets on defendants
Assist in drafting and sending out request for production and interrogatories
Schedule depositions and mediations
Assisting in the drafting of subpoenas and service process
Follow-up with client on information needed for plaintiff fact sheet and other required productions
Schedule meetings with Experts and assist in the drafting and filing of Expert Disclosures
Mail client letters
Prepare co-counseling agreements
Prepare updates to co-counsel on cases
Respond to requests from co-counsel
Docketing and Calendaring
Organization and maintenance of case files
Assist with settlement distributions and lien resolution
Have strong work ethic and be able to work well in a fast pace environment; have great people skills as the position requires a great deal of client contact;
be able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines; have exceptional communication and written skills; have computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Word and legal software
Requirements :
- Must have ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
- Ability to operate Microsoft Office software programs and familiarity with records management systems
- Have knowledge of concepts, terminology, and procedures of litigation cases and trials
- Have a strong working knowledge of both State and Federal Rules of Civil Procedure
- Frequent communication with clients to provide case information and updates
- Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail, accuracy and meet deadlines
- Time management, professional communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team-based structure
- Outstanding proofreading skills
- Compassion, energy and enthusiasm
- Maintain focus and concentration throughout the day
Preferences :
- Bachelor’s degree
- 3 years of experience in a law firm setting as a Paralegal
Benefits :
- Compensation $60,000 - $75,000, DOE
