SunWater Spa is a unique health and wellness oasis in Manitou Springs, CO. Nestled in the beautiful Rocky Mountains at the base of Pikes Peak, we are deeply connected to the healing arts, spirituality, and local history.
SunWater consists of two adjacent buildings : our main building houses 3 levels of cedar tubs for soaking in Manitou’s own mineral spring waters, a saline pool, and a spacious yoga studio.

About the Opportunity
This massage therapist employee has to effectively be part of our phenomenal team of therapists while providing excellent customer service and quality massage and bodywork.
The ideal candidate is reliable, punctual, adaptable, and demonstrates a high level of integrity. They must be proficient and available for all menu services, effectively communicate with the team, and stay up to date with department and spa-wide systems, protocols, and procedures by attending department meetings and training.
The massage therapist is responsible for setting up and beginning and ending services on time, providing exceptional massage and bodywork services, cleaning up after each service, and leaving the spa rooms clean and organized for fellow therapists.
The ideal candidate is proficient in basic computer skills, and is knowledgeable in a variety of modalities. This is a part-time position which reports directly to the Spa Services Director.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Uphold the mission, protocols and procedures of the company and department
- Listen to guest needs and provide exceptional spa services to all guests
- Demonstrate adaptability regarding changes required to enhance guest experience
- Maintain a clean, safe, fully stocked and well organized work area, to include proper use of equipment and applicable safety standards
- Project a positive attitude and contribute toward a quality work environment
- Maintain good working relationships with management and spa team members
- Maintain awareness of and follow all spa and department policies and procedures
- Communicate effectively and in a timely manner with guests, staff, and management
- Available for a minimum of 2-3 shifts per week and weekends
- Attend all department and all-staff meetings and trainings
- Keep up to date certifications and insurance, and pursue continuing education opportunities
Qualities, Education, Experience and Physical Requirements
- Attention to detail, organized, adaptable

- Demonstrate integrity, honesty, and reliability
- Possess a smart phone and computer, and utilize both with proficiency
- Must have reliable transportation
- Point of sales systems proficiency, MindBody preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Current liability insurance
- Current Colorado State Massage Therapy License
- Training in and experience with Swedish massage, deep tissue techniques, hot stone massage, prenatal massage, aromatherapy and body treatments
- Ability to lift, carry, push and pull required (usually about 30lbs)
- Physical stamina and mobility including ability to reach, kneel, bend and walk up and down stairs throughout a shift
- Cleaning, sweeping and mopping motions
- Ability and willingness to follow all company, local and Federal guidelines regarding Covid-19 including face mask and social distancing requirements, vaccines and testing as required.
- Ability and willingness to follow thorough hand washing and personal hygiene requirements
- Ability and willingness to follow all disinfectant requirements for spa service areas
