Phlebotomist

Pride Health is hiring Phlebotomist I to support our client’s medical facility based in Los Angeles, CA 91325

Location : Los Angeles, CA 91325

Schedule : M - F 7am- 4pm

Pay Range : $22-$27 (Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.) The rate is based on years of DIRECT EXPERIENCE as listed in the resume

Responsibilities :

• Experience doing blood draws, labelling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex.

urine or fecal) as required.

• Demonstrate technique / s using straight needles and / or butterfly needles.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport.
• Stores specimen samples according to the required temperature, places samples in appropriate collection container / tube, accurately labels and follows different procedures as outlined by specific protocols deemed necessary for transport to maintain the integrity of the specimen.

Qualifications :

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum 2 yr. of phlebotomy experience is required .
• CPT required
