Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager. The Engineering Manager will oversee the development and execution of engineering projects, manage budgets and timelines, and supervise engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate Utility Integration, EDP development, permit submission, and CRP production across multiple projects
• Manage tasks related to Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) and utility company requirements
• Oversee project-based budgets, monitor financials, to prevent overruns
• Create and submit change orders to customers as needed, assessing impacts and communicating with stakeholders
• Maintain up-to-date project information and provide updates to customers
• Conduct weekly coordination meetings, set task goals, and mentor team members
• Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, quality standards, and industry regulations
• Collaborate with other departments and manage client expectations and relationships
• Contribute to long-term technical strategy and identify process improvements
• Prepare and distribute comprehensive project status reports

Requirements And Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience with project management and urban design
• 5-8 years of experience working in Construction, EV, or a related field
• Proficiency in CAD software including Autodesk
• Proficiency in Microsoft products, particularly Office (Excel, Word, Email)
• Proficiency in project management software and tools
• Solid understanding of engineering best practices and industry standards
• Proven experience in leading and motivating engineering teams
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Exceptional time management, accountability, and prioritization skills
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to accomplish department goals
• Ability to adapt to changes quickly and make decisions under pressure
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to support a fast-paced, demanding work schedule; could include late evenings and / or weekends
