Inova Fairaoks Hosptial s seeking Manager Radiation Oncology to join the Therapy team. This position full-time day shift (40 hrs / week).

Requirements for consideration :
- Bachelor's degree in radiation therapy, management, healthcare administration or related field
- Degree in radiation therapy or Masters highly preferred.
- 2 years of experience in a lead / chief therapist role or management role in an oncology program or facility
- American Registered Radiologic Technologist Certification preferred.
Job Responsibilities :
- The Manager of Radiation Oncology demonstrates the leadership skills and independent actions necessary to support a Radiation Oncology work environment while ensuring the effective utilization of Human Resources throughout the department for adequate staffing requirements.
- Develops and assists in continuous performance improvement within the department in order to maintain optimal quality patient care by staying abreast of current technology.
- Provides direction and management to direct reports and all department team members and is responsible for team member relations and staff development while developing goals and managing fiscal department activities.
- Evaluates work performance of the nursing staff, Chief Therapist and Patient Registration Manager; Works with individual leaders to evaluate and review Radiation Therapists, Patient Services Representatives and any other appropriate staff.
- Works closely with Radiation Oncology Medical Director regarding operations, quality assurance initiatives and growth strategies.
Demonstrates creativity in overall operational skills, independent action and contingency planning preparation.
Demonstrates the ability to initiate and manage various projects with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness; Monitors productivity ratios and alerts the Director of Cancer Services when productivity falls above or below agreed upon percentages.
