We are hiring a Network Designer / Architect 2 to support a program in Ft Meade, MD. This program will enable the Government to obtain subject matter expertise and highly technical assistance in building and maintaining prototype and niche analytics and tools;
this contract will also enable the Government to maintain and document these prototypes and niche developmental efforts.
Responsibilities :
- Actively manage enterprise computer systems and networks, analyzing technical issues, and developing and implementing corrective actions.
- Observe and interpret visual outputs indicating the operating status of systems and network components for designated computer network infrastructure.
- Translate user requests into technical diagnoses, then apply diagnoses to develop technical solutions to meet user needs.
- Develop strategies to migrate existing customers to new architecture / technology with minimal impact.
- Evaluate new technologies or equipment that can be added to Agency standard solutions.

Here’s what you’ll need :
- TS / SCI clearance with polygraph
- Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field plus 5-years of relevant experience, Master's degree plus 3-years of relevant experience, Associate's degree plus 7-years of relevant experience or High School diploma / GED plus 8-years of relevant experience.
- Relevant experience must be in computer or information systems design / development, programming, information / cyber / network security, vulnerability analysis, penetration testing, computer forensics, information assurance and / or systems engineering.
Additionally, must have experience in network or system administration.
- Strong Linux experience
- Experience in systems / network administration, application administration, and / or information technology support or management.
- Experience supporting hardware installation, such as servers and network infrastructure.
- Experience setting up storage such as network attached storage.
- Experience implementing security best practices to include PKI certificate generation, deployment, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Unix shell scripting languages like Bash, Bourne, or C
Preferred :
- Experience deploying and maintaining nginx
- Familiarity with Docker and RedHat Satellite
- Familiarity with cloud computing environments like AWS
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) products like Terraform, SALT and Ansible as well as system monitoring platforms like Prometheus and Grafana
- Experience with SELinix and FIPS
