Job Description
The School of Nursing is seeking candidates for a full-time tenure track or professional track teaching position in Adult / Gerontology (medical / surgical, and telemetry) Nursing in the undergraduate program (predominantly pre-licensure students in the nursing major) and throughout other post-licensure nursing programs (e.
g. RN-BSN, MSN and / or Doctorate). Must meet California Board of Nursing qualifications for full time faculty. Responsibilities will begin August 2023.

Responsibilities :
Teach in both pre-licensure undergraduate and post-licensure graduate programs
Successful candidate will work strategically with diverse colleagues, students, parents and community members.
Engage in personal scholarship and scholarship with students (where possible)
Advise students academically, spiritually, and socially
Serve on university faculty committees / working groups and perform other normal faculty duties
Contribute in preparing students for their post graduate career and finding who they are called to be
Actively participate in the governance and assessment processes of the School of Nursing
Active service in the community and the profession of nursing
Active involvement in a local church
Qualifications :
Education : A graduate degree (i.e. MSN or DNP / PhD) in nursing required
Experience : Evidence of a commitment to excellence in (undergraduate / graduate) teaching. Demonstrated effectiveness in teaching students from diverse backgrounds is preferred.
Philosophical : Thorough commitment to the concept of Christian liberal arts education and a desire to work in a Christian university.
Supportive of the religious and educational goals of the university and its sponsoring denomination.
Personal : Evidence of Christian commitment and active church involvement. In addition, faculty agree to live in agreement with PLNU’s Community Life Covenant.
