Overview

Private Duty Nurse LPN- Night Shift

Location : East Ridge, TN

Are you looking to make a meaningful impact with one-on-one patient care in a home setting? We have an opportunity for you to provide high-acuity care to a patient who depends on your expertise!

Schedule :

Tuesday through Thursday nights, 7 PM - 7 AM

One Monday night a month

Responsibilities :

• Care for a vent and trach-dependent patient with a g-tube
• Provide close monitoring and high-level care due to the patient's complex needs
• Ensure safety and comfort while fostering a compassionate environment

Qualifications :

• Must have one year of vent / trach experience
• Active LPN license in TN
• Strong clinical skills and a passion for high-quality care

Responsibilities

• Perform selected nursing procedures within the scope of LPN practice
• Provide patient and family education according to plan as outlined by the RN
• Monitor patient's vital signs and make specific measurements and observations
• Monitor and record intake and output, and report significant changes immediately
• Observe, assess and record patient's physical and mental condition and report any changes
• Administer medications as instructed and ordered by the physician and instructed by the RN
• Attend and participate in staff meetings and in-service education programs, as assigned

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in good standing
• Previous home health, private duty, skilled nursing or hospital experience preferred
• Ability to build rapport with patients and family members
• Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Reliable transportation or valid driver's license with current automobile insurance
