Objectives of thisrole
- Monitorfinancial status by comparing datasets withprojections
- Improve fiscal health with thoroughanalyses of financial data : develop deep actionable insights todrive business performance by monitoring variances and identifyingtrends
- Develop forecast models based oncomparative performance metrics and implement improvements as thebusiness grows
- Develop business cases tosupport pricing decisions and create innovative strategies for costreduction
- Establish and guide restructured costanalysis using fresh policies and procedures
Responsibilities
- Work directly with VP of finance on variousplanning exercises such as forecasting budgets profitabilityanalysis and reporting
- Assist in the monthlyclose process by analyzing trends and variances related to revenueand compare and correct data to reconciletransactions
- Develop and maintain confidentialprotected databases to monitor business performance and providemanagers with insights into risks andopportunities
- Coordinate requirements forefficient automated accounting to increase productivity and ensureverified backups
- Uphold standards throughconsolidation of quarterly reporting packages and thorough internalanalysis of financial data
- Strive to advancepersonal skill set through networking workshops and othereducational opportunities
Required skills andqualifications
- Experience working as a financialanalyst
- Proficiency with financial software andtools
- Knowledge of statistical analysisprocesses and packages
- Outstandingcommunication reporting and presentationskills
Preferredskills and qualifications
- Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in finance orrelated field
- Experience in financialforecasting and trend analytics
- Experience withrevenue recognition software as well as with NetSuite andSalesforce
- Strong familiarity with accountingtax and ecommerce legislation
- Experience in acorporate finance setting
