Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history. The Facilities Construction and Engineering Team at Northrop Grumman Tactical Space Systems is looking for you to join our team as a Construction Engineer / Principal Construction Engineer *based out of *Gilbert , *AZ* location.

You will manage construction projects to include reviewing / assigning incoming department requests, cost estimate and schedule reviews, contractor workforce management, and coordination with other departments.

Other key responsibilities :

  • Plans, designs, and oversees the construction of new or expanded facilities.
  • Prepares architectural and engineering cost estimates and schedules.
  • Obtains and supervises outside contractors.
  • Recommends architectural and engineering design procedures and standards for the planning and design of facilities.
  • Coordinates with architecture / engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings.
  • Prepares bid sheets and contracts for construction and facilities acquisition. Reviews and estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
  • Supervises the detailed design, budgetary costing, standardized construction, and final inspection of facility projects.
  • Inspects or directs the inspection of construction and installation progress to ensure conformance to established drawings, specifications, and schedules.

This position can be filled at level 2 or level 3.

Basic Qualifications :

Construction Engineer Level 2

2 Years with Bachelors; or 0 Years with Masters Degree

Principal Construction Engineer Level 3

  • 5 Years with Bachelors; or 3 Years with Masters Degree
  • Experience to include Cost estimating, design, and construction management
  • Experience to include Cost estimating, design, and construction management
  • Prior facilities related or construction experience

Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with CAD
  • Must have US Citizenship with the ability to obtain Secret level clearance
  • Facilities experience in the Defense sector along with understanding of security standard ICD 705
  • Experience in aerospace industry

AZSPACE

Salary Range : *$68,500 - $102,700

Salary Range 2 : *$84,200 - $126,400

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
