How will you make an impact in this role?

We’re looking for an experienced data engineering leader to join our Commercial Data Engineering organization. We build data-centric solutions to support all Global Commercial Services products, including B2B payments, large corporate clients, and our small and medium enterprise ecosystem.

You’ll design and build the patterns that enable us to responsibly scale our data platform and work closely across engineering teams and key stakeholders to set best practices and guide them on how to unlock the value of our data.

  • Drive the technical strategy to optimize the scalability, resiliency, governance capabilities, and efficiency of our commercial data platform
  • Lead the technical architecture and design of our cloud-native commercial data platform modernization
  • Partner across commercial and enterprise-wide teams to deliver on our cloud modernization collaboratively
  • Perform hands-on architecture, design, development, and testing of foundational components and data pipelines
  • Drive high-level & detailed technical designs and conduct designs & code reviews as needed
  • Mentor data practitioners across our commercial ecosystem, enabling them to achieve technical excellence

Minimum Qualifications

  • Expertise with public cloud (AWS / GCP)
  • Experience with cloud based data warehouse and lakehouse software (ex. GCP BigQuery, Snowflake, Databricks)
  • Deep expertise with spark, python, SQL
  • Experience designing resilient data pipeline orchestration patterns (ex. Airflow)
  • Deep understanding of architectural patterns for highly available and scalable distributed data systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience guiding data practitioners to build efficient, scalable data pipelines
  • Experience partnering cross functionally to drive successful execution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building unified data driven solutions with a data-lakehouse architecture
  • Experience building event driven data streaming solutions
  • Experience implementing FinOps best practices in a cloud-based data processing system

Salary Range : $170,000.00 to $255,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
