Network Administrator Ensures the stable operation of the Company networks. This includes planning, developing, installing, configuring, monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all network hardware, software, and communication links.
The person will also analyze and resolve end user hardware and software computer problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end user training where required.
Please note this position is not a remote position. Responsibilities Perform network design and capacity planning. Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.
Install, maintain and monitor network servers, switches, hubs, routers, and network operating systems. Provide second level technical support to users concerning network system operations.
Diagnose problems with network equipment and repair equipment and apply upgrades when appropriate. Purchase, configure and maintain all computer hardware / software used by the staff.
Schedule and monitor backups of network data. Periodically restore files, applications, and the entire system on other network hardware to test backup facilities.
Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network connected end-user hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
Install, configure, maintain and monitor firewall, anti-virus, anti-spam, anti-malware, etc. for maximum internal network protection.
Establish and enforce policies, procedures, and standards regarding LAN, WAN, security, and use of the organization's computer and information assets.
Qualifications Associate’s degree in computer science, or related field (B.S. preferred). 3-5 years of networking experience, or a combination of education and experience.
3+ years of Microsoft product support experience. Experience with Microsoft 365 Operational knowledge of Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) and application virtualization;
Network and routing protocols; Windows Server and Active Directory; Switch configuration and programming. Intermediate PowerShell experience.
Ability to independently install software and hardware on networking equipment and computers. Familiarity with a variety of networking and personal computer software.
Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on servers, computers, and peripheral equipment. Ability to communicate information to end users, colleagues, and senior leadership in a clear and concise manner.
