Job Description :
Responsible for performing varies clerical duties regarding patient experience, for the office manager and physicians on staff.
Job Responsibility :
- Greets, screens, and directs patients to exam rooms.
- Performs patient intake including medical history, medications, and history of present illness.
- Prepares and processes correspondence and answers routine medical administrative inquiries.
- Performs medical receptionist duties as necessary. Answers telephone, screens calls, takes messages, and provides information.
- Obtains, verifies, and updates patient information and provides support services to patients and medical staff.
- Prepares exam room and patient for physical examination by physician.
- Prepares patient face sheet to facilitate billing and any required follow up care, including diagnostic testing.
- Assists in the dispensing of durable medical devices (DME) under the direction of the physician.
- Applies DME to patients, and provides patient education on use and benefit of DME.
- Varying shifts between the hours of 7 : 30am and 8pm
Job Qualification :
- High school diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED). Diploma as a medical administrative assistant from an accredited medical vocational course preferred.
- Minimum one year of relevant experience working in a medical facility or related field.
- Minimum one year experience in customer service or reception, preferably in a health care environment.
