Rainey Law P.C. is hiring California paralegals (remote). Candidates must be (1) detailed, (2) independent, (3) low maintenance, and (4) organized.

Candidate must (I) produce high-quality work product, (II) have at least three years previous experience as a California paralegal for a law firm and (III) have a private designated home office space to work remotely.

ABOUT THE POSITION

We are growing, so grow with us! The ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection and organization of documents and information from various cases at the firm.

Filing case documents through the ECF system and state court filing system. This candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized.

Job Type : Contractor, Part-Time, Full-Time

Hourly : From $28, depending on experience, which must be specific in California

Schedule : Monday to Friday and weekends as needed

OBJECTIVES

  • Must be DETAILED and ORGANIZED.
  • Drafting detailed subpoenas, summons, cover letters, discovery indexes, deposition summaries, and editing pleadings.
  • Manage and file court documents through the California court system (Onelegal or other third parties) and ECF system.
  • Review and draft routine legal documents.
  • Create and maintain case files.
  • Facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders.
  • Conduct legal research with Lexis Nexis.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have three years of experience as a California paralegal at a law firm.
  • Must be detailed (if you are not detailed, then please do not apply).
  • Must have experience with subpoenas, organizing exhibits, drafting tables of contents, and court filings in federal and state court.
  • Must produce excellent work product.
  • Must be independent, organized, and focused.
  • Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate.
