Role description :
Arcadis is seeking an experienced Project / Construction Manager to join our construction management water group. The projects will be located in Rockland and Orange County.
This is a full-time, on-site role focused on a variety of construction types working with a focus on park facilities as well as water and wastewater projects.
The Project / Construction Manager will become a member of our talented team of construction management professionals that focus on delivering outstanding client service, helping them program, plan, and deliver their infrastructure, building and engineering projects.
Services include managing water and wastewater and other projects during the pre-bid through the construction phase of these exciting and challenging projects.
In this role you will use your knowledge of construction and project management to successfully deliver these projects to our clients.
You will work closely with clients, engineers, contractors, and end-users, demonstrating a strong understanding of the process.

Role accountabilities :
- Provide onsite construction management services for our clients projects in the areas of quality control, schedule management, cost and change management, document control and project communications.
- Maintain detailed daily field reports and as-built drawings.
- Produce project progress reports and briefings for the client.
- Experience in developing detailed daily field reports and monthly progress reports.
- Experience and knowledge of various construction trades such as electrical, HVAC, process mechanical, instrumentation and controls, plumbing and structural work.
- Experience in developing and maintaining punch lists, deficiency logs and maintaining timely communications with contractor.
- Review contractors monthly payment applications and provide recommendations.
- Develop independent cost estimates for change orders during construction and assist with change order negotiations with the client.
- Perform reviews of the contractors baseline and monthly schedule updates and record field progress as it relates to the contractors schedule.
- Lead and conduct progress meetings in addition to developing meeting agendas and meeting minutes.
- Manage the project documents and communications through contract / document management software.
- Establish a culture of health and safety on the project.
- Travel may be required for project site visits, client meetings, safety audits, general planning purposes or to oversee construction activities, depending on project staffing needs.
Qualifications & Experience :
Required Qualifications
- 10 or more years of relevant Project / Construction Management related experience.
- Bachelors degree in engineering, construction management or a related field.
Key Attributes
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-starter approach to delivering successful projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Licensed PE
- CCM Certification
- Water and Wastewater (treatment plants, pump stations, utilities) construction experience.
- Experience developing cost estimates.
- Proficiency using smart technology and Microsoft Office.
- Experience creating and updating project schedules in P6 scheduling software.
- Proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6, and Microsoft Project is a plus.
