Guaranteed Hours : 36 hours per week
Experience : Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience
License : Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse
Certifications :
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Intermediate-level Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN)
Must-Have :
- Ability to circulate for C-sections
- Ability to triage for obstetrics
Job Description :
- Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards.
- Coordinate and deliver patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting.
- Participate in education programs and utilize relevant patient education materials.
- Assess patient readiness to learn and evaluate developmental levels and factors affecting learning.
- Identify expected patient outcomes and seek guidance in revising care plans.
- Engage in discussions with interdisciplinary team members to evaluate patient care.
- Communicate relevant information to promote continuity of care.
- Demonstrate competence in caring for patients with complex problems, including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects.
- Perform bedside point-of-care testing as required.
- Utilize healthcare organization and nursing standards, policies, and procedures in care delivery.
- Organize and prioritize care based on patient and family needs.
- Consult with appropriate resources regarding complex care issues.
- Develop goals with assistance to promote professional growth or minimize limitations.
- Participate in unit goals and performance improvement activities.
- Promote a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment.
- Recognize and prioritize care based on data from complex situations.
- Collaborate with patients and families to prepare or update care plans.
- Address cultural and ethnic issues in planning patient care.
- Read journals with studies or articles applicable to practice and discuss with staff for assessment of applicability.
