Overview
The Youth in Action for Health Equity is a Youth Participatory Action Research (YPAR) program that integrates public health equity, adolescent health advocacy, school success and career readiness programming with high school students in Vallejo CA.
Under the leadership of the Principal Investigator and housed within the TUC Public Health Program, the Program Manager will oversee all aspects of the project from program development, implementation, assessments, and coordination with school and community partners.

Qualifications QualificationsEducation / Experience
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Min. 2 years of experience working in low-income ethnically diverse youth programs.
- Work in schools or programs that highlight youth empowerment models ( YPAR, positive youth development), recommended.
- Research experience, recommended.
Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
- Project Management Experience, including using tools (. )
- Experience with working with high school students, or youth programs.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Google Suite, and TouroOne applications.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, multicultural environment.
- Strong managerial and organizational skills.
- Must be able to multitask and prioritize work.
