We build chips for artificial intelligence computing. Our architecture leverages the unique properties of light to enable fast and efficient inference and training engines.

Lightmatter is looking for an experienced Program Manager - Supply Chain to help lead our day-to-day supplier programs and ensure on-time delivery across the entire supply chain.

As the PM managing our supplier relationships, you will orchestrate planning and delivery efforts across silicon, packaging, systems, and more.

You will support vendor program management for Lightmatter’s AI platform, from design through production, collaborating with engineering teams across the company to plan and drive objectives for suppliers.

In this role you'll be gathering requirements, interfacing with suppliers, managing supply needs and technical risks, driving quality and on-time delivery, and planning for all phases of the product life cycle.

You will work with operations and engineering leadership to develop and manage milestones and schedules for the many moving parts that need to come together.

Responsibilities

  • Partnering with engineering teams to identify the right solution partners.
  • Own external vendor program management activities
  • Help manage all aspects of the day to day operations, including supplier communications, track schedules and deliverables, alignment with technical subject matter experts and engineering teams
  • Continuously report challenges / risks and align with stakeholders to achieve on-time launch and improve time-to-market
  • Conduct market research to understand potential opportunities in the supply chain to improve costs, time, or quality
  • Be the bridge between engineering teams and vendors to effectively estimate and prioritize tasks in order to maintain high quality on a realistic delivery schedule
  • Set clear and targeted communication to management of project information including project plan, key dates and project status
  • Develop sourcing and negotiation strategies that deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers.
  • Travel, if required to key suppliers as needed to build relationships and conduct site audit

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in operations, logistics, supply chain, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain, supply chain operations, or analytics
  • Hands-on experience managing Optical / Laser module vendors
  • Experience influencing decisions and leading projects in a matrix environment
  • Experience with Netsuite ERP or something similar
  • Enthusiastic and responsive, with a demonstrated track record, for finding opportunities for process improvement
  • Expert user of program management tools such as MS-Project, Asana, SmartSheet or similar
  • Excellent communications and presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Attention to detail strong ability to multitask
  • Experience setting up project management initiatives for a brand-new product
  • Experience in a startup environment

We offer competitive compensation. The base salary range for this role, inclusive of all US locations, is $94,000 - $162,000.

Your base salary will be determined based on location, experience, educational background, and market data.
