- Required Skills : Cardiac Telemetry, MS / Tele, Telemetry, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry - on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams, IV insulin protocols, Blood Product Administration, Central line care / management, Peripheral Line Care / Management, PICC line management, Heparin Protocols, Manage Cardiac drips- no titration, CVA, Chest tubes-Emerson / Pleuravac, External CPAP / BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Interpretation of ABGs, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Oxygen face masks
- PCU / Telemetry Cardiac Monitoring - Admits from NWH ED, direct admits from Grace Medical Center, transfers from non-tele units

- Other certifications required as applicable to Unit Description
Schedule Information
- Every other weekend

Unit Specific Information
- Special Procedures / Unit Details : Peritoneal Dialysis, Telemetry (RN to interpret & document rhythm), Non-titratable Drips include : Amiodarone, Diltilizem Cardiazem, Amiodarone & Lasix, Heparin - Heparin drip nursing protocol, Code Team Responders (recorders & time keepers), Stroke certified unit
- Nurse to patient ratio is typically 1 : 4, but RN should be expected to take 1 : 5 based on acuity and downgrades
- if floated to non tele med surg unit patient ratio is 1 : 6
- Telemetry (RN to interpret & document rhythm), Non-titratable Drips include : Amiodarone, Diltilizem Cardiazem, Amiodarone & Lasix, Heparin - Heparin drip nursing protocol
