Job Description and Duties

This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Operations Center (NOC) Specialist to join our team. The NOC Specialist will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and troubleshooting our network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in networking, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities : Monitor network performance and respond to alerts and events in a timely manner.Perform routine maintenance tasks such as software updates, patch management, and configuration changes.

Troubleshoot network issues and escalate to appropriate teams or vendors when necessary.Document all network-related activities, including incidents, changes, and resolutions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement network improvements and upgrades.Provide technical support and assistance to internal users and external customers.

Stay current with industry trends and technologies to continuously improve network operations.

Working Conditions

Part-time telework available. Telework requires California residency.

The incumbent performs work indoors in a climate-controlled environment under artificial lighting. The incumbent must carry a cell phone and respond to calls after hours to lead multi-disciplinary IT professionals' team(s) in organizing, analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving IT system problems;

may travel to various DMV locations to provide expertise for IT operations.
