We are hiring for an Associate Environmental Engineer to contribute to our EHS (Environmental, Health, & Safety) projects on a full-time, direct basis while based at our office in Philadelphia, PA.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Conduct due diligence assessments and prepare draft reports, including performing Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments ESA's .
- Assist with the planning and execution of field investigations by logging borings, collecting samples, performing field tests, and collecting / recording data.
- Perform field assessments and environmental investigations with a variety of sampling (, soil, groundwater, stormwater, vapor, indoor air, etc.).
- Provide field oversight of remediation activities; this includes working with subcontractors.
- Prepare field reports for environmental projects to document work completed.
- Prepare draft reports, and assist with completing regulatory forms.
- Additional tasks may be assigned, as needed.
Basic Requirements :
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering or a related technical discipline (; Geology, Environmental Science, etc.).
- 2+ years of professional experience working in Environmental Science / Environmental Engineering (preferably with environmental due diligence, investigation, and / or remediation projects).
Preferred Qualifications :
- EIT Engineer-in-Training or GIT Geologist-in-Training credential.
- Completion of OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training.
- Strong experience working in environmental field work as well as technical writing.
- Experience working with PA-DEP regulations (; Act 2, Act 32, etc.).
- Proficiency on all standard Microsoft Office software applications.
- Exposure to CADD & GIS / mapping tools is a plus!
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strong attention-to-detail, especially with a proven ability to work with a high-level of accuracy.
- Proven ability to work independently in a team environment with minimal supervision.
- Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
