Your Role With Us :
As the Cardiac Sonographer at Salem Health, you work collaboratively with health care providers to provide direct and indirect care to patients undergoing procedures in the Cardiovascular Non-Invasive Services Department and throughout the hospital.
Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performance of transthoracic echocardiograms, stress echocardiograms, and transesophageal echocardiograms.
In this position you must have a professional attitude and appearance, excellent customer service and communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Evening and weekend call is mandatory.

Background / Expertise :
- High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelors degree preferred.
- Graduate from an accredited school of noninvasive cardiovascular technology / ultrasound OR three years recent experience and at least 800 echocardiograms performedORa student may begin working with a temporary State of Oregon Sonography license as early as five (5) months prior to the projected date for completion of coursework.
- Recent experience as a cardiac sonographer in a hospital based, cardiac non-invasive services department preferred.
- BLS certification from the AHA required.
- RDCS or RCS certification or eligible for RDCS or RCS certification and completion within six months of hire.
- Oregon Practice of Sonography license (OBMI) required.
