We’re seeking a System Administrator that will provide technical management and user support in our Minneapolis location and partner with our System Administration team in Europe.
The position is responsible for maintaining the technical infrastructure for one local office location, maintaining and upgrading software and hardware, and providing support to on-site and remote users within multiple business groups in the Americas on a variety of technical issues.
We are looking for someone who is experienced, has great customer service and problem-solving skills, and is motivated to help our team be productive.
Responsibilities
- Document, maintain, upgrade, or replace hardware and software
- Install new software releases and system upgrades and resolve software related problems
- Perform system backups and recovery
- Maintain data files and monitors system configuration to ensure data integrity
- Evaluate and installs patches
- Provide prompt support to end users on a variety of issues with Mac and PC workstations or AV equipment
- Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair computer systems, hardware, and computer peripherals
- Create and maintain user account information including the level of access, security, and systems groups
- Onboard and offboard employees from IT systems and hardware
- Order and track technical assets and peripherals
- Maintain vendor relationships, and identify opportunities to reduce expenses where needed
- Track IT expenses and process monthly expense reports
- Responsible for setup or relocation of computer equipment or workstations, conference room equipment, and cable management
- Occasional maintenance assistance outside of business hours
- Maintain an organize IT environment in the server room and office as a whole
- Other tasks as assigned for the improvement of the IT infrastructure or the user
- Gathering digital evidence during compliance audit activities
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in IT support or related field
- Associate's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of IT industry standards, processes, and concepts
- Proficient with Mac and Windows operating systems and processes
- Experienced with diagnostic programs and remote troubleshooting techniques
- Experience in Hardware Purchasing
- Experience in Software License Management
- Experience in server management and maintenance
- Knowledgeable with network maintenance
- Self-starter, able to work independently
- Experience with administering Microsoft 365
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- The desire to work in an evolving environment with fluid responsibilities
